First time in Jeddah, on 11th November 2017, such a significant and astonishing Artist Master Class was organized by Make Up For Ever at Ritz Calton, Jeddah, KSA. It was a well planned & beautifully executed event. Everything seemed to be in sync with the lush spark on each corner of the hall. The event was sponsored by Sephora and Make Up For Ever.

Artist Masterclass was designed to collaborate, educate and to share makeup hacks and expertise by Famous Bahraini Makeup Artist and Beauty Educator, Masooma Hashim.

Masooma has worked with many celebrities including Egyptian Superstars Yosra, Laila Olwi and Olivia Palermo. Masooma has over 468,000 followers on her Instagram account @masooma_makeup. She is the owner of Makeup Art Beauty Salon in Bahrain. She creates glamorous makeup looks that suit the modern Arabic women.

Women were super excited to attend the event. Just like any other makeup lover in the J Town, I too was eagerly waiting for the big night. I’m a Business and Marketing person by profession and love to blog on Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle. But, after attending a couple of makeup courses, there was a clutch of makeup love that I always felt & thought to avail the opportunity to fulfil my endearment for makeup and fashion. Ever since I heard about the Master class, I decided to explore my expertise and benefit the chance to make it passion to profession. My experience was beyond the words; there was a glitter reflection to attract the female attendees. More than 400 localites attended the Master class & most of them were makeup artists. There was an arrangement of an English interpreter for non-Arabs. All the team was very cooperative and polite. We missed Dress your face Tamanna, she couldn’t make it due to visa issues. We were given extra products to compensate on her behalf. I found Masooma an awesome educator, I  had a great chance to interact with her to enhance my skills in beauty and makeup expertise.

Attendees and I got an opportunity to meet with some makeup industry’s renowned personalities including Dr. Kholoud Al Najjar (renowned Kuwaiti Dermatologist and Beauty Educator), Tamara Al Zaq (Regional Manager, Make Up Forever) and the famous Model Lulu. The show was hosted by Anchor Mona Al Nasar.

In the first round, Masooma elaborated cut and crease technique and face contouring technique on the beautiful Model Lulu. Each intricated step was described in detail. It was a very interactive session; women put up their queries from across the hall and Masooma replied to all her followers intelligibly with an explanation.

In the second round, Masooma applied makeup techniques on flawless Dr. Kholoud, the Kuwaiti Diva. The session was full of education and tips. The look was inspired by the currently popular Rose Palette by Huda Beauty. Dr. Kholoud was looking magical and charismatic in the smoky and pink makeup look.

Attendees were served with snacks during the break and got an opportunity to shop from Make Up For Ever products on discount. I also enjoyed shopping some Make Up For Ever products including Foundation and Ultra HD Sticks at a good discount. It was a good medium to interact with the well-known makeup artists and beauty bloggers in Jeddah including Hadeel, Farah Khan, Dua, Jamila Al Lawati, Sana Waqr, Dr. Saba Aslam  @velvet makeup & yoga studio, Samar, Samah Aoz, Sumaiya, Marium Usman, Farwa Rohail, Noura Dana, Humaira khan, Sundas, Fazila, Raha Amjad , Ameena and many more. Everyone was looking gorgeous; a few of them shared their experiences of the Master class and their life’s journey.

Hadeel shared about herself, “I’m a Beauty and Fashion blogger. My story started with Beauty when I discovered that I’m really in love with makeup and skincare. This lead me to try and experience a lot of cosmetics, skincare and makeup. So you could say, I became my friend’s and family’s Glam Guru. I helped them in their makeup shopping, selecting the right products, etc.. One day, a friend asked me, why I don’t blog since I was really into Beauty. I started blogging two years ago by sharing my posts through Tumblr and then I created an Instagram account @glam_queenh. I found this event fantastic and well organized. The techniques taught today were helpful to groom our skills.”

Farah said, “I’m passionate about makeup and have done a few makeup courses and want to pursue my career in this field. I enjoy educating my friends about makeup tips and tricks. The event was very nice. It gave us the opportunity to explore our expertise.”

Dua Al Magrabi added, “I’m a Marketing Manager and have a deep passion for makeup. Ever since I got to know about this makeup class, I decided to groom my passion and benefit from this opportunity.”

Noura Dana shared her experience with a smile, ” I was not expecting this on that big scale, I’m very impressed with all the team and management, feeling lucky to be a part of this master class. I had a remarkable experience.”

All ladies who registered & attended the Master class were given Make Up For Ever products and miniatures as a gift and an Artist Master class Certificate towards the end of the event.

Overall, it was a great experience for everyone and we all look forward to witnessing more such events in KSA soon.
